How film yield is calculated

Film mass = width × thickness × length × density, so yield just rearranges it: length = mass ÷ (width × thickness × density) and area = mass ÷ (thickness × density) (SI units — metres and kg/m³; 1 µm = 0.000001 m). Thinner film or a lighter resin yields more metres per kg. Densities are typical grade values — confirm your resin's datasheet.
